Hunter Douglas has a limited lifetime warranty. As long as you the consumer still live in your home you are covered by the warranty. Strings and cords are covered by a 7 year warranty. PowerView Automation components are covered by a 5 year warranty. Your warranty is with Hunter Douglas not Westbeach, so you can rest assured when in the hands of the global leader in Window Coverings. Westbeach also adds our 1 year guarantee. So if anything with a Hunter Douglas shade goes wrong in the 1st year of owning it we will cover all labour costs as well.

Are Hunter Douglas good quality Window Coverings?

What is the best type of Hunter Douglas shade?

The cop out answer is it really depends on the application and that we love ALL Hunter Douglas Products. But the truth is Pirouettes are the best Hunter Douglas shade. Just don’t tell the other shades we said so. Pirouettes are similar to the Silhouette but even more elegant. They can open in the day to see through creating a beautiful looped look. The louvers can be adjusted to provide just the right amount of privacy or let just the right amount of light in. At night, or if you just want them fully closed they look completely grand and show off their fabric and texture like a proud peacock. It just doesn’t get any better.

Do all Hunter Douglas products come with PowerView?

Yes. Well, almost yes. Verticals, aluminum blinds and NewStyle Shutters are only available in manual options.

Is there another motorized option aside from PowerView?

Yes. It is called SoftTouch. Soft Touch works with a wand that you would pill to operate. Pull it again and it will stop. Pull it again and it will go up. Etc, etc.

I don’t have any pre-wiring but I don’t want to have to change batteries for the rest of my shades life. Are there any rechargeable solutions?

Thankfully yes. Hunter Douglas has just launched a rechargeable battery pack. These are meant to last a year and then you can charge them in place with a power cord or you can buy a dual charging station and charge 2 packs at once. You can also buy extra battery packs. Existing battery shades can also be retrofitted with this new rechargeable battery pack.
